“From biologically recycled insulation to wood sourced from sustainable forestry, preHAUS houses are built with environmentally friendly materials. Wood, as a renewable raw material, is beneficial for our climate in the long term.
85% of the construction materials used in a preHAUS house are made from wood. This durable material contains no chemicals and, after accounting for emissions from production and logistics, it stores an average of 50 tons of CO₂ per house. This is more than the CO₂ emissions of a car that travels 10,000 km per year over 20 years.
All components are natural and recyclable, and can be reintegrated into the natural cycle when needed. Compared to traditional buildings, preHAUS homes require only 1/10 of the CO₂ emissions. This means living in a space that causes minimal harm to the environment.”
