If you decide to build a home with preHAUS, you can trust our team of experienced timber construction professionals who plan and build each house with the same passion as if it were their own. In addition to our unique construction method, you can expect a comprehensive service tailored to your personal project—from individual architectural planning to interior design, all the way to custom furniture from our own factory.
On this page, you’ll find a brief roadmap showing how the construction of an individual and ecological wooden house progresses. We walk through every step together with you to ensure you can move into your dream ecological and healthy home.
Together with you, our specialists and architects listen to your wishes for your dream home, and the preparation phase begins for a detailed offer that includes designs, plans, and technical details.
Our experts examine the zoning status and topography reports from the municipality your land is registered with. In addition, they assess the access roads to your plot, inspecting the ground conditions and road suitability to ensure that transport vehicles or mobile cranes can reach the exact point where your home will be assembled.
Based on your dream details, zoning conditions, and land analysis, we now begin the design phase, allowing us to visualize how your new preHAUS home will ultimately look. From this point on, your dedicated expert consultant, our architect, project manager, and, if needed, our interior designer will work together to bring your vision to life in the best possible way.
A detailed price quotation is presented, based on your requests and dreams, including designs, plans, and technical details. Upon your approval of the quotation, the construction agreement is mutually signed, marking the beginning of the journey toward your dream home.
Taking into account the site and zoning data, floor plans, sections, and elevation drawings are completed. The project files are then handed over to the engineering project office you have contracted with, which is authorized to carry out the permit procedures within the municipality where your land is located. While the permit approval process is ongoing, our production planning team at the factory prepares detailed manufacturing and assembly plans. Using our special production programs and engineering calculations, they design the wall panels, intermediate floor panels, and roof panels down to the finest details.
After the permit is approved, we select the interior details of your home together and enhance its beauty. Stairs, lighting fixtures, flooring, tiles, bathroom and kitchen selections, and much more. At our center and partner hardware stores, there are countless samples you can touch and examine. preHAUS experts will always be by your side and guide you throughout the entire process, ensuring that everything turns out just the way you want in the end.
The production and assembly phase begins, designed down to the finest detail through engineering calculations in our specialized production programs. Wall panels, roof and intermediate floor panels, and other components are completed in a controlled manner, unaffected by weather conditions, safety risks, or workmanship errors. All production is instantly and regularly monitored through our quality control system. While controlled, high-quality, and safe production continues in our factory, infrastructure works and reinforced concrete foundation construction are simultaneously carried out on your land.
The completed house walls, delivered securely and safely to your land, are unloaded from the truck or lorry using a mobile crane in accordance with the assembly plan, and are assembled quickly and smoothly. Sit back and witness your dream home’s advanced structural shell being stress-free and flawlessly assembled right before your eyes — all within just 2 to 3 days.
Once the assembly of your home is completed, interior works such as flooring, finishing of bathroom and kitchen areas—essentially all interior details—are carried out by our long-standing and trusted partners. Your construction manager coordinates the entire process, supervises the work, and serves as your direct point of contact throughout all construction phases until the final handover of your home.
Once everything is completed, the construction acceptance phase begins. Your project manager will thoroughly inspect and review the entire home. Various acceptance procedures and tests are carried out. After passing all quality control processes and inspections, your home is delivered to you along with quality and warranty documentation. This is how we hand over a preHAUS home to our clients—in perfect condition.
