A heat pump operates based on a simple principle and provides surprisingly effective results.
Simply put, a heat pump works according to the same principle as a refrigerator—only in reverse. While a refrigerator expels heat, a heat pump draws energy from the air or ground through the heating system and brings it into the living room.
The heat extracted from the ambient air is then used to evaporate the refrigerant in the heat pump. This refrigerant vapor is then compressed to achieve the required temperature for various heating systems. Different heating systems require different temperatures. For example, a radiator-based system requires temperatures up to 70°C, while underfloor heating needs a flow temperature of 35°C.
